In Serving Mercy
I was approached by Lars Grote (Shift Videoproductions) with an urgent, high-stakes story: volunteers preparing winter aid for Ukrainian families without heat or shelter.
We accepted the challenge: shooting the entire documentary in under 36 hours and delivering within days to meet a contest deadline. Alongside us stood Marc Van Huffel, a modern-day knight whose work transformed a planned 1.5-ton aid delivery into a massive 10-ton rescue effort.
The result isn’t polished perfection, it’s real. It’s urgent.
It captures a moment where ordinary people become extraordinary through compassion and action. And at Buzzup Creative, that’s the kind of story we exist to tell.
This film was nominated for Best Collaboration in the Art Of Documentary One Day Doc competition.
